General Mechanical Technician
CGI Federal is seeking a General Mechanical Technician to support mechanical installation, integration, testing, maintenance, and repair activities for complex systems and subsystems within the Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) program for the US Army. This role plays a critical part in ensuring mechanical assemblies, structures, and modifications are built correctly, installed safely, and maintained to required performance standards. The technician works directly from engineering drawings and technical documentation, assisting engineers in design updates, prototype builds, and production readiness activities. This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO.
Your future duties and responsibilities include mechanical installation & modification, maintenance, troubleshooting & repair, technical documentation & drawings, fabrication support, testing & verification, and field & integration support.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role include an AA/AS degree from an accredited college in Engineering or related field, 4+ years of experience in mechanical design, mechanical fabrication, or mechanical system integration, proficiency using mechanical hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment, and strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
