Job Summary

A manufacturing organization in Greenville, SC is seeking an experienced Transportation Management Specialist to support their transportation service provider performance and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role is ideal for a logistics, transportation, or supply chain professional who enjoys working with carriers, 3PLs, internal operations teams, warehouse partners, and leadership to improve service quality and operational performance. The position offers the opportunity to contribute in a collaborative manufacturing environment with strong process discipline, cross-functional teamwork, and visibility across transportation operations.

The Transportation Management Specialist will serve as a key point of contact for provider-related issues, performance reviews, escalation management, corrective actions, and transportation improvement projects. Success in this role requires strong data analysis, communication, root-cause problem solving, and the ability to hold service providers accountable while building productive working relationships.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor transportation service provider performance against established metrics, service targets, and operational expectations.
- Conduct and document monthly and quarterly provider performance evaluations, including quarterly business reviews.
- Identify non-conformances, recurring issues, performance gaps, risks, and opportunities for transportation process improvement.
- Manage escalations, corrective actions, countermeasures, and follow-up activities with transportation providers and internal process partners.
- Analyze transportation and operational data to prepare reports, performance metrics, trend analysis, and recommendations.
- Lead or support transportation provider projects, standard work updates, process documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $38.00 to $48.00 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Location: Greenville, SC.
