The Medical Receptionist and Medical Assistant play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of a busy medical office with two practitioners. This position is responsible for managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, and assisting with administrative tasks to ensure efficient office flow. Reporting to the office manager, the role handles a medium patient volume of 20-40 patients per day, serving as a key contact for patient communication and office management.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments efficiently
• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
• Manage patient check-in and check-out processes
• Provide billing and administrative support
• Answer and direct phone calls professionally
• Communicate clearly with patients regarding their care and office procedures
• Room patients promptly and assist practitioners as needed
• Oversee office supply management to maintain adequate stock

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience with insurance verification processes
• Strong customer service orientation
• Excellent communication skills
• Effective time management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in medical administration
