Credit Trainee – Ferguson Credit Team Program Overview The Credit Trainee program is an 8–12 month rotational learning experience designed to accelerate a career in credit operations. Trainees will spend time in the warehouse, on the sales counter, riding with delivery drivers, shadowing operations, participating in customer meetings, and learning the technical aspects of extending trade credit. Core Competencies Systems and processes Emotional Intelligence Understanding of Sales Process Collections Management Credit Management Customer Relations and Visitation Secondary Security Uniform Commercial Code Financial Statement analysis Post‑Program Outcomes Upon successful completion, associates gain the foundational knowledge needed to qualify as entry‑level Credit Managers, manage a portfolio of accounts, and eventually advance to Area Credit Manager roles. Qualifications 0–3 years work experience after a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree. Desire to work in a fast‑paced, customer‑service‑driven environment and to grow within a credit development program. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including face‑to‑face, phone, and group presentation capabilities. High emotional intelligence and people skills. Willingness to learn and collaborate as part of a team. Career Path After the trainee program, the Credit Manager will manage account portfolios, extend credit, collect receivables, and build customer relationships. Successful Credit Managers can advance to Area Credit Manager positions with greater A/R responsibilities and people‑management opportunities. Location & Relocation Initial training occurs in Pomona, CA. Pay Range $26.17 – $39.24 monthly for salaried roles, hourly for other positions. Bonus or incentive plan eligible. Starting wage may vary by location based on local and state wage requirements.
