Shift Information

0700-1900 Day Shift, three 12-hour shifts per week

Summary of Position

This position is responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Acute Care Registered Nurse collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery while achieving desired patient outcomes. This role supports the organization's vision and mission, utilizing knowledge of patient age and cultural diversity in the provision of care. The nurse contributes to quality care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive patient outcomes.

Education Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current California RN license.
• Current certification in CPR, ACLS, and PALS.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to utilize the nursing process in the provision of nursing care, including administering treatments and medications, interpreting diagnostic tests, formulating a care plan, collaborating with other healthcare providers, and providing education to patients or significant others.
• Must be BLS, ACLS, and PALS certified and capable of reading telemetry.
