Job Title

Location: Schenectady, NY

Duration: 12 Months

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the technical leader/manager to develop a scope of work, plan schedule, and monitor engineering activities for customer projects.
• Provide technical leadership and interface with Proposal Management, Cost Estimating, Partners, Customers, Product Engineering, Sourcing, and Engineering sub-contractors.
• Develop specialized knowledge in their discipline and serve as a best practice/quality resource.
• Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering.
• Own the engineering execution of BOP-scoped Projects from contract signature until the end of Client contractual obligations.
• Manage a cross-functional Engineering team to master the risks and opportunities of the contract.
• Provide technical guidance and assistance to Project Management and internal engineering teams.
• Review Customer specifications and communicate contract and project requirements to all design functions.
• Evaluate financial/schedule impact of Customer requested scope changes.
• Provide technical support to Engineering, Sourcing, Vendors, and Installation teams to ensure equipment meets all Customer requirements and business objectives.
• Enforce quality procedures and participate in their improvement.
• Assure the experience feedback by capturing issues (Lessons Learned).
• Work in a matrix organization with numerous interfaces including internal and external teams.
• Serve as Senior Project Engineering Manager, when assigned, to lead and facilitate a total project solution across all product lines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering or any other related STEM program from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum of 6 years of related industry experience with increasing responsibilities.

• Expertise in one of the disciplines (Mechanical/Electrical/Process).
