Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist Location: Rutledge, Tennessee Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our educational team in Rutledge, Tennessee. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality speech and language services to students, collaborating with educators and families to enhance student communication and learning. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students. Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's specific needs. Provide direct therapy to students with speech, language, and communication disorders. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and success. Maintain accurate and detailed records of student assessments, progress, and therapy sessions. Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities. Provide consultation and training to school staff and parents on speech and language development and intervention strategies. Qualifications: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Valid Tennessee state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Tennessee Department of Education certification as an Educational Specialist Speech and Language Pathologist. Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Required Licensure and Certifications: Tennessee Speech-Language Pathologist License Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) from ASHA Tennessee Department of Education Certification as an Educational Specialist Speech and Language Pathologist Passing scores on relevant Praxis exams (if mandated by the state) Physical Requirements: Ability to perform job duties that may include lifting, bending, sitting, and standing for prolonged periods. Ability to manage the physical demands of working with young children and students with special needs.
