Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies that encompass both short-term objectives and long-term goals pertaining to communication, cognition, and swallowing.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focusing on various aspects such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work in synergy with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to build cohesive care plans.
• Educate patients and their families, ensuring they are equipped to support progress outside of your sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the treatment journey.
• Maintain meticulous records in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing learning through continuing education and peer collaboration to stay abreast of industry trends.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
