Senior Accountant | Accounting Manager Track

Our client is seeking a driven and high-performing Senior Accountant to join their growing finance and accounting team. This role offers a unique opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to expand their responsibilities and pursue a clear path to Accounting Manager within the next 1-2 years.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations
• Record and review journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries
• Analyze financial results and investigate account variances
• Support sales tax reporting and compliance requirements
• Maintain accurate accounting records within QuickBooks
• Prepare financial reports and provide meaningful business analysis
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies
• Research and resolve accounting issues using sound judgment and critical thinking
• Partner with internal stakeholders to communicate financial information effectively
• Assume increasing levels of responsibility and leadership as the organization grows

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a Senior Accountant capacity
• Strong experience managing month-end close processes
• Solid understanding of balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger accounting
• Experience with sales tax compliance and reporting
• Proficiency with QuickBooks
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and take ownership of responsibilities
• Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset
• Career aspirations to move into an Accounting Manager role in the near future

Salary DOE ; 95,000-105,000

Pay Details: $95,000.00 to $105,000.00 per year
