Job DescriptionUW Medical Center-Montlake - Department of Supply Chain Management has an outstanding opportunity for a Supply Chain Technician 2 (Temp) .WORK SCHEDULEMonday – FridayDay shift7:00 AM to 3:30 PMThis is a fixed duration appointment, anticipated to be 12 months in durationDEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONUW Medicine Supply Chain Management enhances our patient care experience by delivering a robust foundation of services, operational and technical support, and the sharing of comprehensive, relevant, and highly specialized supply chain management expertise.POSITION HIGHLIGHTSMake sure healthcare providers at the No. 1 Hospital in WA State have access to vital medical supplies and equipmentServe as an important contributor supporting the patient care experienceExceptional benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, etc.PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESReceive, warehouse, courier, put away, requisition, pick, distribute, and deliver general, medical, and surgical supplies and equipment throughout various healthcare settingsManage rental equipment, including rounding in nursing areas, verifying correct charges, ordering needed equipment, and discontinuing unneeded equipmentUtilize Supply Chain POU technology to support supply restocking; receive purchase orders into the materials management information system (MMIS)Verify incoming and outbound shipments for accuracyResolve order discrepancies while adhering to department policy and procedureREQUIREMENTSHigh school graduation AND 6 months of supply chain experienceMust obtain/maintain valid Washington state driver's licenseEquivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-MONTLAKEUW Medical Center is an acute care academic medical center located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
