Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Global Procurement Operations team for a six-month leave replacement.

This role will provide operational and project leadership across our end-to-end Procurement processes, with a particular focus on the rollout, stabilization, and continued evolution of our Procurement Intake process.

The individual will work closely with Category Management, Sourcing, Contracting, Purchasing, Solutions, and other stakeholders to ensure procurement demand moves effectively through the end-to-end process.

A key near-term priority will be supporting the November release of our updated Intake process, including release readiness, hypercare, operational oversight, issue resolution, stakeholder communication, and adoption.

This role requires someone who can quickly understand a complex operating environment, independently manage multiple priorities, identify and resolve issues, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.

The successful candidate will combine strong project and process management capabilities with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset and an interest in leveraging technology and AI to improve operations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead post-release hypercare for the updated Procurement Intake process, working across Procurement teams and other stakeholders to monitor performance, identify issues, coordinate resolution, and stabilize the process following the November release.
• Provide day-to-day oversight of Procurement Intake operations, monitoring work as it progresses through the process and helping ensure requests are appropriately routed, actively managed, and completed.
• Partner closely with Category teams and other Procurement functions to ensure work is flowing effectively, address bottlenecks and handoff issues, clarify ownership, and drive outstanding actions to completion.
• Identify, triage, and problem-solve operational exceptions, determining root causes, coordinating resolution across teams, and escalating issues when appropriate.
• Support release readiness and adoption, including ensuring required training is completed, identifying knowledge or adoption gaps, and coordinating actions needed to support effective implementation.
• Provide clear and concise updates to senior stakeholders and Steering Committees on operational performance, release status, key issues, risks, dependencies, decisions, and actions.
• Maintain visibility across multiple workstreams and priorities, proactively identifying dependencies, risks, and areas requiring intervention.
• Plan for future releases and enhancements to Intake, translating lessons from operations and hypercare into requirements and priorities for subsequent releases.
• Support the continued evolution of end-to-end Procurement Operations, identifying opportunities to improve processes and handoffs across Intake, Sourcing, Contracting, Purchasing, and related support and control processes.
• Identify and drive process improvements based on operational data, stakeholder feedback, observed pain points, and root-cause analysis.
• Leverage AI, automation, and other technology capabilities to identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency, strengthen operational visibility, and improve the Procurement experience.
• Develop effective working relationships across functions and geographies and serve as a trusted point of contact for operational and project-related questions.

Skills:

• 7+ years of relevant experience in project/program management, procurement operations, business operations, or a related field; Procurement experience strongly preferred.
• Strong project and process management skills, with demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple workstreams, priorities, risks, dependencies, and stakeholders.
• Experience supporting complex process, workflow, or technology implementations through release, hypercare, stabilization, and continuous improvement.
• Strong operational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify bottlenecks and exceptions, determine root causes, drive issues to resolution, and escalate effectively when needed.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to work with senior leaders and provide concise, decision-oriented updates to governance and Steering Committee forums.
• Highly collaborative and comfortable working across functions, geographies, and time zones, while able to operate independently and drive work forward in an ambiguous environment.
• Strong analytical and digital mindset, with experience using data, AI, automation, or workflow technologies to identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve operational performance.

• Degree in Business or equivalent degree from a top tier university
