Industrial Electrician

The City of Boise is looking for a skilled Industrial Electrician to support our Public Works utilities. In this role, you'll troubleshoot, maintain, and repair complex industrial electrical and control systems that keep critical city infrastructure running safely and reliably. You'll work on motors, pumps, generators, PLCs, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, and other essential utility equipment. We're hiring for both our Lander Street and West Boise Water Renewal Facilities.

Required Knowledge, Experience, And Training

• High school diploma or equivalent and
• 4 years of experience in an industrial plant, performing journey-level work installing, maintaining and conducting repairs on industrial electrical systems.

Licensing And Other Requirements

• Journey-level Electrician license issued by the State of Idaho.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• First Aid and CPR Certifications.

Applicants must be able to pass:

• City of Boise background check processes which includes a criminal history check and reference checks in accordance with the City of Boise Hiring Process Regulation
• Driving Record Check
• Drug Free Workplace: Applicants will be required to submit to screening for illegal drug use prior to hire. Appointment to this position is contingent upon a negative pre-employment drug test.
• This position is required to handle hazardous materials that if mishandled, place the general public at risk of serious injury.
