Seeking Engineering Technical Writers to create and maintain documentation for advanced sensor and defense systems.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit technical documents (manuals, TRDs, specifications)
• Review content for accuracy and clarity
• Prepare illustrations (charts, diagrams, drawings)
• Publish documentation in formats such as HTML, XML, and SGML
• Collaborate with engineers and team members
• Perform desktop publishing and research technical data
• Ensure compliance with technical writing standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field, or relevant military experience
• Experience with technical systems (radar, communications, or similar)
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent organization and multitasking abilities
• Strong communication skills
• Active DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years technical writing experience
• Experience with Arbortext, MadCap Flare, or FrameMaker
• Knowledge of XML, SGML, HTML, S1000D, or DITA
• Familiarity with ASD-STE100

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Elkridge, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
