What You’ll Do: As an Exploration Project Geologist at GeologicAI RXS, your role sits at the intersection of 3 core domains of expertise: exploration site logistics and operations, day‑to‑day drill program management and technical leadership. The role is much broader than a typical project manager because success in the role depends on coordinating people, equipment, budgets, schedules, safety, and technical decisions in remote and constantly changing environments. This is a hands‑on technical role based primarily in Arizona. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Ensuring equipment, field supplies, and other required materials arrive when needed Managing field schedules and drill program work plans Overseeing health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements Troubleshooting operational issues that threaten schedule or budget Managing and tracking progress (drill, log, scan, sample, assay) against milestones Managing contractors and vendor performance Identifying and mitigating risks Reporting project status to leadership and stakeholders Balancing competing priorities and resources Supporting Senior Geologist with reviewing exploration data and results Interpreting technical findings with geologists, engineers, or scientists Making recommendations to Senior Geologists on next phases of work Integrating operational realities with technical objectives What does a typical day look like: In practice, a typical day might involve: Reviewing drilling progress, retrieving drilled core boxes in the morning Resolving a contractor or equipment issue before lunch Updating schedules, trackers and dashboards in the afternoon Meeting with Senior Geologists, Exploration VP and clients Senior Leadership to adjust the exploration program based on new results Reporting risks and recommendations to leadership The role is often described as being the person who can translate between the field crews, technical specialists, contractors, and executives while maintaining a clear view of the project's overall objectives. Who This Role Is For: We are looking for a hands‑on Exploration Project Geologist at the mid‑level career stage (3 to 7 years of experience) with a background including a few years logging core (maybe even cut and sample core), so you understand drilling and logging well with a clear progression over to managing exploration drill programs in the field. We require a bachelor’s degree in geoscience related field in addition to required field experience.
