The Role

We’re seeking a Founding AI Engineer to lead the charge on production‑grade LLMs and AI agents. You’ll bring rigor to evaluations, fine‑tuning, benchmarking, and synthetic data pipelines — and the leadership skills to own this domain for Everstar. If you read ML papers for fun, spend weekends on Hugging Face, and get fired up about prompt design and guardrails, you’re who we want.

You’ll Do

• Build and deploy production‑ready LLM agents for Gordian Search, Research, and Compose

• Design eval frameworks and benchmarking pipelines ensuring high‑fidelity outputs

• Lead synthetic data generation and fine‑tuning pipelines for regulated environments

• Collaborate with fullstack engineers and nuclear experts to deliver reliable AI products

• Push into future domains (vision models, physics models, robotics)

You Bring

• Multiple years of production ML/LLM experience (fine‑tuning, RAG, evals)

• Mastery of Hugging Face, LangChain, vector DBs, and modern LLM ops

• Experience designing and running eval suites with rigor

• Leadership skills: able to set direction, own outcomes, and mentor others

• Bonus: published research, open‑source contributions, or deep familiarity with cutting‑edge ML papers
