Family Law Legal Assistant | Fort Lauderdale, FL


A well-established and respected South Florida law firm is seeking an experienced Family Law Legal Assistant to join its team in Fort Lauderdale. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with 3+ years of family law experience who is comfortable supporting attorneys in a fast-paced environment while keeping cases organized and moving forward.


This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a strong, collaborative team of attorneys in a stable firm environment with long-term growth potential.


What You’ll Do

• Draft and prepare family law pleadings, motions, and basic legal correspondence
• File documents through the Florida e-Portal and maintain accurate case records
• Manage attorney calendars, including tracking court deadlines and important case dates
• Coordinate hearings, mediations, depositions, and client meetings
• Organize and maintain case files and supporting documentation
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as needed
• Provide general administrative and litigation support to attorneys

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of family law legal assistant experience
• Strong experience with drafting, filing, and calendaring
• Familiarity with Florida court procedures and e-filing
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
• Ability to work fully in-office
