\n***This is a full-time, evening shift position at the Westerville FSED. This role will specialize in medication reconciliation. Hours are M-F, 12:30-9p.***\n

\nSPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\n
\n
\n• High school diploma, GED, or foreign school diploma equivalent to a U.S. high \n
\n school diploma (Required)\n
\n• Must be at least 18 years of age (Required)\n
\n• Individual must be registered as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with \n
\n the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (Required)\n
\n• Work requires a high school level of skills and good communication skills; the \n
\n ability to gather and interpret data in situations where the information or \n
\n problems are not difficult or complex; the ability to exchange information and \n
\n explain instructions and/or procedures to employees, patients, and others; \n
\n involves following existing procedures and instructions, sometimes receiving \n
\n assignments in the form of results expected, due dates and general \n
\n procedures to follow. (Required)\n
\n• Knowledge of compounding, pharmacy math skills, hospital pharmacy \n
\n operations, medical terminology, and various drug names (trade generic).\n

\nJOB SUMMARY\n
\nSuccessfully fulfills the criteria and experience profile for T2 Certified Pharmacy Technician, in addition to the responsibilities outlined in this job description. Demonstrates technical, communication, and leadership skills necessary to support team members in their area of specialty. Maintains a proficient area through process improvement and operational efficiency. Participates in reciprocal communication with departmental and health-system peers and leadership.\n

\n experience. Completes a variety of atypical assignments. Works within defined \n

Responsibilities And Duties:

\n

IV Area Specialist\n
\nSuccessful completion of competency programs for area of specialty and completion of on-going designated training deemed applicable at the system & local campus level                                                                                                                              \n
\nAssists in the development and administration of competency programs                                                                                                                        \n
\nMaintains quality assurance programs and process improvement                                                                                                                 \n
\nCompletes projects pertaining to area of specialty                                                                                                                         \n
\nCompletes an annual re-certification in sterile compounding as appropriate along with minimum number of accurately prepared doses                                                                                                                                \n
\nSpecialist will also understand all system/local policies and standard operating procedures (SOP) regarding area of specialty and will be required to keep up with all updates or changes to these policies                                                                                                                           \n
\nResponsible for administration functions, including documentation of all required associate media fill competency assessments as required by all USP chapters                                                                                                                        \n
\nResponsible for training of associates, including required documentation                                                                                 \n
\nResponsible for effective coaching: providing support to, and feedback on, the individual in their area of specialty\n
\nResponsible for completion and documentation of all required surface sample testing\n
