Critical Care Physician Opportunity

AdventHealth Medical Group Critical Care at Central Florida is looking for a dynamic physician to be a part of our expanding critical care team. This position would be focused as part of a multi-disciplinary team, in our Cardiovascular ICU at our AdventHealth Orlando campus.

Physicians will have responsibility to cover our Cardiovascular ICU unit, including our post-operative CV surgical ICU and ECMO/Transplant ICU.

Nocturnist opportunity

Collaborate with experienced and established intensivists, surgeons, cardiology and pulmonary transplant medical/care team to help continue to grow and establish a high quality and highly sustainable Cardiovascular, Heart & Lung Transplant Critical Care program.

Our team performs over 35-50 hearts, 15-20 lungs, and 30-50 VAD's per year with multi organ transplant capability.

Our general CV surgical program performs > 4500 heart surgeries a year.

Recognized as a Platinum ECMO Center and considered one of busiest centers in the United States

Only ECPR program in Central Florida, run by critical care, including cannulations and management.

Patient mix includes heart and lung transplants, mechanical assist devices, VV/VA ECMO, as well as general cardiovascular surgical procedures.

Robust GME and ACGME programs in Orlando with Medical Students, Residents and Critical Care Fellows and Pulmonary Critical Care Fellows on site

Full Time schedule would consist of 14 shifts per month

Requirements for position:

• Critical Care fellowship training. Surgical, Medical, Anesthesia, and Emergency medicine background are welcomed to apply.
• At least 2 years of experience with ECMO, Heart & Lung Transplant preferred
• Experience in ECMO cannulation, VV and VA preferred
• Point of care ultrasound experience required (spot evaluation and as procedural guidance)
• Ability to provide ECPR response for our ED as well as inpatient population.
• ELSO certification desirable
• Physicians must be board certified/eligible in the subspecialty of Critical Care Medicine.
