1st Shift CNC Operator Job Description:

PrideStaff is working with a local precision machining company in search of an experienced CNC Operator to join our 1st shift production team. In this role, you will be responsible for loading raw materials, running pre-programmed jobs, and monitoring the machinery to ensure parts are produced to quality standards. The CNC Operator is a full-time, temporary to hire position in Rogers, MN.


1st Shift CNC Operator Job Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation: Load raw materials (bars, slugs, castings, or blanks) into the CNC machine, secure them in fixtures/vices, and press cycle start.
  
• Quality Inspection: Visually inspect finished parts for defects, burrs, or scratches. Use basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, or go/no-go gauges) to ensure parts meet specifications.
  
• Part Deburring: Remove sharp edges or excess material from completed parts using hand tools or deburring equipment.
  
• Basic Maintenance: Perform routine daily maintenance, such as checking coolant levels, clearing metal chips/shavings from the machine enclosure, and keeping the workstation clean.
  
• Documentation: Accurately log production counts, part numbers, and any quality discrepancies in the daily production log.
  
• Escalation: Immediately pause production and notify a supervisor or setup technician if a machine malfunctions, a tool breaks, or parts fall out of tolerance.

1st Shift CNC OperatorJob Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or mechanical environment is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
  
• Technical Skills: Ability to read basic blueprints or work instructions is a plus. Comfort using basic hand tools.
  
• Attention to Detail: High focus on quality and repeatability to ensure parts are loaded correctly every time.
  
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods (up to 8-10 hours) and lift up to [Insert Weight, e.g., 40 lbs] regularly.
  
• Safety Mindset: Strict adherence to safety protocols, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
