Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiovascular Sonographer with a minimum of 2 years of experience to perform outpatient echocardiograms in an ambulatory cardiology setting.

Details

• Outpatient cardiology setting focused on echocardiography
• Generates ultrasound images of the heart and/or vascular structures
• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
• No on-call, weekend, or holiday coverage required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiovascular Sonographer
• Accredited Associate's Degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field, OR completion of a 12-month ultrasound program
• Current BLS certification required
• One of the following certifications required: RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS, ACS, or RCCS (CCI)
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Performs pre- and post-procedure patient assessment and care, including emergency cardiac care (CPR)
• Responsible for daily equipment calibration, maintenance, and quality assurance monitoring, as well as troubleshooting and reporting equipment issues
• Monitors and records patient information, manages data entry for charge systems, and prepares and retrieves reports from automated storage systems
• Prepares procedure room and equipment for daily use and ensures timely room turnover between procedures
• May assist with post-procedure patient transport
• May perform staff training and education
• First-time travelers will not be considered; this position is open to experienced travel professionals only
