Job Summary:
South Carolina A healthcare organization seeks a qualified Cardiac Sonographer specializing in Echocardiograms for an outpatient clinic. The candidate will perform ultrasound imaging of the heart, assist with patient assessments, and ensure equipment readiness. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Position: Cardiac Sonographer (Ultralasonographer Echo)
• Location: Goldsboro, North Carolina
• Specialty: Ultrasonographer Echo
• Shift Duration: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Hours per Week: 40
• Required Qualifications:
  • Accredited Associates Degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field
  • Completion of a twelve (12) month ultrasound program
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience performing outpatient echocardiograms
  • Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Licensure: RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) certified through ARDMS or RCS, ACS, RCCS certified through CCI
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified
• Additional Information:
  • Demonstrates competence in delivering pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care, including patient assessment, emergency cardiac care (CPR required), and assistance with post-procedure transport if needed
  • Ensures calibration and proper maintenance of ultrasound equipment, performs troubleshooting, and reports issues accordingly
  • Responsible for generating ultrasound images and maintaining accurate patient information and reports
  • May provide staff training and education as needed
