Position : IT Engineer

Duration : 6-month contract to hire

Location : New York, NY onsite

What They Are Looking For

This is NOT a traditional Help Desk or Desktop Support role.

The ideal candidate will be a hybrid of:

IT Engineer
Systems Administrator
Automation Engineer
AI/Workflow Integration Specialist

They want someone who can support end users while also building automations, integrations, workflows, and AI-powered solutions that eliminate manual work across the organization.

Must-Have Experience:

3+ years of hands-on IT/Systems Engineering experience in a fast-paced tech environment
Experience building workflow automations, integrations, bots, or AI-driven solutions
Strong MacOS support experience
Experience with MDM platforms (Jamf, Kandji, etc.)
Identity and Access Management experience (Okta, SSO, SCIM, provisioning)
Scripting experience with Python, Shell, JavaScript, or similar
API integration experience
SaaS administration experience
Strong customer-facing communication and support skills

Ideal Backgrounds

FinTech, Crypto, Infrastructure, or Cloud companies
Internal IT teams focused on automation and operational efficiency

Big Plus Skills:

Experience building or supporting AI agents
Workflow automation platforms (Zapier, Workato, Make, n8n, Retool, etc.)
LLM/AI tools and integrations
Conference room and AV support
Office networking and firewall administration
Security tooling exposure (EDR, SIEM, SOC2 environments)
Executive or white-glove support experience

30% AI & Automation
- Building AI agents
- Automating business workflows
- Integrating SaaS systems through APIs
- Creating internal tools and process automations
- Partnering with business teams to eliminate manual processes
