Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent. California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT). Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more of experience as a phlebotomist. Current or prior experience at LabCorp. Additional Job Standards In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement. 1 year or more phlebotomist experience with Geriatrics and Pediatric patients. Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills; both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Compensation Pay Range: $23.00 - $33.00 per hour. Pay is based on candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, internal equity and market data. Benefits Employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan.
