Savor Beauty is a luxury clean Korean skincare brand with facial spas and a beauty lab in New York. Founded by Angela Jia Kim, former concert pianist and author of Radical Radiance (St. Martin's Press), the brand is rooted in Korean beauty heritage passed down through generations, with a uniquely rich founder story.

Position Summary

The PR, Partnerships & Events Manager is responsible for growing awareness of Savor Beauty through earned media, creator and affiliate partnerships, community events, brand collaborations, and experiential activations.

Reporting directly to the Founder, this is a hands-on role responsible for developing story angles, pitching media, securing placements, building relationships with editors, creators, podcast hosts, and community partners, and executing events and partnerships that introduce Savor Beauty to new audiences.

This role’s mission is to make more people discover, experience, and talk about Savor Beauty through exceptional storytelling, partnerships, and memorable brand experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Public Relations & Brand Awareness

• Develop and execute Savor Beauty's PR and communications strategy.
• Pitch beauty, wellness, lifestyle, business, and founder stories to editors, journalists, producers, podcast hosts, newsletters, and broadcast media.
• Secure earned media placements, podcast interviews, speaking opportunities, and thought leadership features.
• Build and maintain relationships with editors, journalists, freelance writers, producers, and media contacts.
• Write press releases, media pitches, founder bios, media kits, and press materials.
• Develop compelling story angles around Korean beauty heritage, the founder's journey, product innovation, spa experiences, and seasonal launches.
• Monitor trends and identify timely opportunities that keep Savor Beauty part of the conversation.

Partnerships & Community

• Build and grow relationships with creators, affiliates, wellness professionals, complementary brands, and community partners.
• Recruit and cultivate affiliate and creator partners whose audiences align with Savor Beauty.
• Identify and execute co-marketing partnerships, product collaborations, gifting opportunities, and cross-promotional campaigns.
• Develop local partnerships that strengthen awareness around our spa locations and new market expansions.
• Represent Savor Beauty within the wellness, beauty, and entrepreneurial communities.

Events & Brand Activations

• Plan and help execute media events, founder events, customer experiences, workshops, launch parties, community events, and experiential activations.
• Develop PR strategies around product launches, spa openings, hotel and retail partnerships, and new market launches.
• Coordinate invitations and attendance for editors, creators, affiliates, VIP customers, and community partners.
• Maximize every event as an opportunity to generate media coverage, creator content, partnerships, and lasting brand awareness.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with the Marketing, Affiliate, Social Media, Ecommerce, Spa, and Education teams to ensure launches, events, and partnerships are amplified across earned, owned, and creator channels.
• Collaborate with affiliate and creator partners to maximize awareness around campaigns and product launches.
• Maintain media, creator, affiliate, partnership, and event pipelines with clear weekly reporting on outreach, opportunities, and results.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of experience in public relations, communications, partnerships, events, or brand marketing within beauty and wellness consumer brands.
• Demonstrated success securing earned media and building brand awareness.
• Existing relationships with beauty, wellness, lifestyle, or business media are strongly preferred.
• Experience developing creator, affiliate, and brand partnerships.
• Experience planning media, community, or brand events.
• Exceptional storytelling, writing, pitching, and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organized with excellent project management and follow-through.
• Comfortable working directly with a founder in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.
• Experience with Muck Rack, Cision, Launchmetrics, or similar media platforms is a plus.

Success in This Role

Within your first 90 days, you will have:

• Built an active pipeline of media, community partners, and brand collaborations.
• Secured meaningful press, podcast, or speaking opportunities.
• Executed successful PR support around launches or events.
• Established new affiliate, creator, or community partnerships.
• Created a repeatable outreach process that consistently generates visibility for the brand.

Long-term success is measured by sustained brand awareness, meaningful media coverage, thriving partnerships, successful community events, and a growing network of advocates who introduce new customers to Savor Beauty.

Salary: $85,000–95,000 (commensurate with experience) + performance-based bonuses.
