Pay Range : $40.00 to $50.00 per hour*
Department:  Oncology Infusion / Cancer Care Clinic
Location: 462 Grider Street Buffalo, NY
Position Type: Full-time, First Shift, M-F

Essential Duties of an RN Lead:

• Oversee and provide direct patient care, including assessments, treatments, and follow ups
• Develop and monitors patient care plans in collaboration with providers and other healthcare professions
• Oversee the clinical team, providing guidance and support
• Delegate tasks effectively and ensure that staff adhere to policies and procedures
• Train and mentor new staff members and ensure ongoing pro
• Organizes charts and performs chart preparation prior to patient visit to ensure all documentation is accurate and complete
• Works with clinic manager and department director to implement and change policy and procedure when needed
• Works with office clerical staff to streamline workflows and improve care
• Maintains professional relationships with other offices
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient care in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
• Deliver exemplary customer service in order to provide a positive experience across the organization
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications of an RN Lead:

• Possession of a license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State as issued by the New York State Education Department
• 3-5 years of nursing experience, preferably in an ambulatory care setting
• 1-2 years of previous leadership or supervisory experience, strongly preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, required
• Strong clinical skills with an understanding of outpatient and ambulatory care procedures.
• Excellent leadership and management abilities
• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and other healthcare technology
• Ability to perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and manage follow-up care.
• Critical thinking, time management, strong communication, problem-solving, and ability to handle various clinical situations.
