We are looking for an Assistant Controller to help lead accounting operations in Jeffersonville, Indiana. This role supports accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and timely completion of close activities while partnering with leadership on financial insights. The ideal candidate brings deep accounting knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to guide a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Direct daily accounting activities across the general ledger, close process, and preparation of financial statements.
• Establish and refine accounting procedures and control frameworks to support compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Partner with external audit teams by organizing timelines, preparing requested materials, and facilitating a smooth audit process.
• Contribute to recurring financial reporting by reviewing data for accuracy and ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
• Deliver financial analysis and practical recommendations to support business leaders and key stakeholders.
• Supervise, coach, and develop accounting team members while promoting accountability and career growth.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, strengthen efficiency, and respond effectively to changing business demands.
• Monitor compliance with organizational standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Take on additional accounting and finance duties as business needs require.• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including responsibility for financial reporting and close activities.
• Strong background in month-end close, general ledger management, and preparation or review of financial statements.
• Experience supporting or coordinating financial statement audits with external auditors.
• Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and its application in a corporate accounting environment.
• Proven ability to produce accurate periodic financial reports within established timelines.
• Experience using Oracle or a similar enterprise accounting system.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor team members and work effectively with stakeholders across the business.
