(USA) Operations Manager - Floor

Responsibilities Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (eg customers, suppliers, associates). Drive and implement the business plan for the area of responsibility to achieve facility goals (eg production, quality, safety) and implement operational improvements. Forecast staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands for the area of responsibility. Prepare, review, and analyze business reports and use information to identify operational improvements (eg production, quality, safety). Monitor and ensure compliance of the area of responsibility with logistics, company quality, and safety standards, policies, procedures, and directives; develop, distribute, and maintain procedures and supporting documentation. Identify and resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns using judgment or consulting others when needed. Supervise and manage associates and leaders, giving direction, monitoring performance, providing feedback, identifying training and development needs, and providing learning opportunities; support and model logistics and company policies and procedures; participate in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates, leaders, and managers. Build high‑performing teams that embrace differences in people, cultures, ideas, and experiences, create a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected through a culture of belonging, and create opportunities for all associates to thrive and perform. Work collaboratively; build strong and trusting relationships; communicate with impact, energy, and positivity to motivate and influence. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management) and at least: 1 year’s experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments/areas. Or 1 year’s experience as a Walmart Logistics Area Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in hiring and promotion of associates. Or 3 years’ experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments/areas. Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings). Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
