Registered Nurse - Ambulatory (Multispecialty - Per Diem)

The Registered Nurse - Ambulatory (Multispecialty - Per Diem) role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to a designated group of patients, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. This position is ideal for nurses who excel in collaborative environments and possess strong clinical judgment. Highlights Location: Lawrence, NY Schedule: Per Diem What You'll Do Conduct patient interviews and assess health status across multiple systems. Communicate and document patient’s physiologic and psychological health status. Develop patient outcome statements and establish individualized goals. Coordinate cost‑effective use of supplies and document the plan of care. Implement the plan of care and maintain patient safety precautions. Provide emotional support and discharge instructions to patients and families. Measure effectiveness of care and perform variance analysis for improvement. Collaborate with care team members and assist physicians during treatments. Administer medications safely and educate patients on drug interactions. Participate in patient and family education and evaluate teaching effectiveness.
