Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide advanced nursing care in a busy emergency room setting, ensuring prompt assessment and treatment of diverse patient conditions. Deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions to stabilize and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on acuity and needs.
• Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and blood products following protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond swiftly to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC and other electronic health records.
• Educate patients and family members on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health education.

Qualifications:

• Valid NY State Registered Nurse license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency room nursing experience.
• Certification in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC mandatory.
• Demonstrated proficiency in managing multisystem organ dysfunction, trauma, and critical care procedures.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and float as needed.
