Performs care in the specialty area of nephrology and patients on dialysis./ppHow will you make an impact:/pulliUtilizes evidence-based clinical practice standards to provide direct clinical services for patients within prescribed guidelines and physician instructions./liliActs independently to perform physical assessments, diagnostic functions, specialized risk assessments, and make critical decisions regarding a wide variety of health situations, including high risk and crisis situations./liliAcquires patient health histories and evaluates patient, performing physical examinations./liliOrders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients clinical problems and health care needs./liliDiscusses case with physician./liliFormulates and documents care plan./liliPrescribes medication, therapies and/or other forms of treatment./liliEvaluates the patients response to therapy./li/ulpMinimum Requirements:/pulliRequires an MS in Nursing and minimum of 2 years of related experience with clinical emphasis for nurse practitioner; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background./liliActive Nurse Practitioner Board Certification/liliCurrent, unrestricted RN license and NP license in the state of California is required./liliCertification in a specialty or minimum of 1 year experience in the specialty area of nephrology./li/ulpPreferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:/pulliBilingual communication skills in English and Spanish./liliExperience in either Primary Care or an Internal Medicine setting with adults and geriatric patient population./li/ulp**The posted compensation range represents the national market average. Compensation for roles located in premium or high-cost geographic markets may fall above this range.
