Semi-Senior Accountant

Semi-Senior Accountant – Buckingham | Salary: £25,000 – £35,000 per annum | Permanent | Full-Time

We are recruiting on for an experienced and ambitious Semi-Senior Accountant to join a growing team based in Buckingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified accountant who is looking to develop their skills within a supportive and professional environment.

You will work closely with a portfolio of clients across a wide range of industries, delivering high-quality accounts preparation, tax compliance, and advisory services. This role offers excellent scope for progression and ongoing study support.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Assistance with corporation tax and personal tax returns
• Bookkeeping and VAT return preparation
• Supporting senior team members with client queries and ad hoc projects
• Liaising directly with clients to gather financial information and resolve queries
• Assisting with management accounts preparation
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and tax legislation

Requirements

• Part-qualified ACA or ACCA (or AAT qualified and looking to progress)
• Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice
• Strong working knowledge of accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• A proactive, client-focused approach
