Program/Project Manager

Project/Program Manager IT 5Leads the planning, coordination, and execution of Search platform initiatives, including upgrades and migrations. Oversees cross-functional collaboration with engineering and operations teams to resolve technical issues, improve indexing performance, and ensure platform stability. Communicates project status and technical updates to stakeholders through structured reporting and meetings. Drives issue resolution and supports documentation and planning for future enhancements.Position's Contributions to Work Group:Meeting Facilitation and Stakeholder EngagementProgram Management for Enterprise Search UpgradesCross-Functional Communication and Issue ResolutionOperational Readiness and Risk MitigationStrategic Planning and DocumentationEducation & Experience Required:10+ years of PM experienceBachelor's degree in technical fields such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.PMI or PMP certification preferred.Technical Skills (Required):Agile Methodologies, specifically Scrum.Technical Skills (Desired):Scrum Master certification and Scrum Master experienceSearch technologies such as Lucidworks, Solr, etc.Security & Compliance Awareness: Knowledge of data protection, access control, and audit readiness.Soft Skills (Required):Cross-Functional Collaboration: Works closely with engineering, operations, product, and vendor teams to align goals and resolve issues.Relationship management with challenging partners (3rd Party)Communication & Stakeholder Management: Regularly communicates project status, risks, and decisions to stakeholders through structured reporting and meetings.Leadership & Influence: Leads meetings, drives initiatives, and influences without direct authority.Typical task breakdown:Enterprise Search Core Team – Weekly syncs for platform upgrades, indexing, and roadmap planning.Lucidworks Vendor Team – Weekly to biweekly coordination on product support and issue resolution.Search Engineering and Validation Team – Monthly or milestone-based collaboration during testing and release cycles.Digital Product and Platform Stakeholders – Monthly or as needed for strategic planning and go/no-go decisions.Mission Critical CAB and Ecom DSE Connect Participants – As needed during escalations, change approvals, or cross-functional syncsInteraction with team:Search Core Team comprised of CAT US and CAT India team members and 3rd party vendor team daily.Search product supplier multiple times a week.Work environment:A flexible, hybrid role with minimal travel, focused on cross-functional collaboration, structured project execution, and regular coordination with global teams in a fast-paced, enterprise-scale environment.Disqualifiers/Red Flags:Choppy tenure/ job hopping (trending)
