Role As an experienced Procurement Buyer, your role is to be responsible for executing the day‑to‑day procurement activities that support manufacturing operations, ensuring the timely and cost‑effective purchase of materials, components and services. This role plays a critical part in maintaining production continuity by managing supplier orders, monitoring delivery schedules and resolving supply issues. Working closely with the Sourcing Specialist and cross‑functional teams, the Buyer ensures that materials and outsourced assemblies are available to meet production plans, while maintaining quality, cost and inventory targets in a fast‑growing manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Create and manage purchase orders for raw materials, components, and outsourced assemblies inline with production schedules Communicate with suppliers to confirm order acknowledgements, delivery dates and shipment details Expedite or defer orders as needed to align with changing demand and production priorities Monitor supplier performance on delivery and responsiveness, and escalate issues when required Collaborate with planning, production and warehouse teams to ensure material availability and inventory accuracy Track and resolve supply issues, including shortages, delays, quality concerns and invoice discrepancies Support cost‑control initiatives by identifying opportunities for savings and efficiency Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) Experience with purchasing direct materials or managing suppliers in a manufacturing setting Familiarity with outsourced assemblies or contract manufacturing environments Working knowledge of Incoterms, logistics and international purchasing Preferred Qualifications Experience purchasing direct materials or managing suppliers in a manufacturing setting Familiarity with outsourced assemblies or contract manufacturing environments Working knowledge of Incoterms, logistics and international purchasing Benefits Share options Private healthcare via Bupa with 24/7 medical helpline Income protection Pension: 4+% employee with option to opt into salary exchange; 5% employer Employee Assistance Programme – mental wellbeing, financial and legal advice/support 25 holidays per year Full meals onsite in Wallingford AAP/EEO Statement Dexory provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
