Job description: Electrical Estimator Pay: $90,000.00 $120,000.00 per year Job Type: Full-time, In-office Location: Staten Island, NY Key Responsibilities
Bid Preparation: Analyze project requirements and specifications detailed in bid documents to develop comprehensive estimates.
Data Analysis: Conduct research to determine accurate labor costs, material pricing, and production timelines.
Vendor Management: Obtain and review quotes from vendors and subcontractors; build long-term relationships with key supply houses.
Proposal Development: Assemble final estimates and submit professional proposals to clients.
Client Relations: Foster client relationships to promote our services and gather feedback on submitted bids.
Project Kickoff: Provide expert consultation during kickoff meetings to assist in the planning and coordination of new projects.
Strategic Planning: Review the bid board directly with ownership to discuss bidding strategies and prioritize new requests. Qualifications: Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: Proven track record as an Electrical Estimator.
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in EBM Vision or comparable estimating software (e.g., Accubid).
Analytical Skills: Strong knowledge of estimation formulas and data analysis methods.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation abilities; highly organized with the ability to multi-task.
Mindset: A growth-oriented, reliable professional who thrives under deadline pressure and works well both independently and collaboratively.
