IT Helpdesk Technician

Ludlum Measurements, Inc. is seeking a driven and personable IT Helpdesk Technician to support our operations in Sweetwater, TX. This entry-level position is ideal for a problem‑solver eager to launch a career in IT. You will serve as the primary point of contact for our organization's technical needs, handling day‑to‑day support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues. We provide comprehensive on‑the‑job training, allowing you to learn enterprise‑level IT practices, including Active Directory, virtualization, and security environments. We value a problem‑solving mindset and strong communication skills over prior technical experience. Job Type: Full-Time, In-Person Job Duties & Responsibilities: Operating Systems: Familiarity with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365. Hardware & Peripherals: Basic knowledge of troubleshooting PCs, laptops, and office printers. Networking: knowledge of IP, DNS, and Wi‑Fi connectivity. Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Problem‑Solving: A "can-do" attitude and patience when assisting others. Ticketing: Experience with help desk ticketing systems is a plus. Perform other related duties as assigned Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong communication and problem‑solving skills Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy. Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
