Spot Welder / Resistance WelderPosition: Spot Welder / Resistance WelderDepartment: Manufacturing / ProductionJob Type: Full-TimeFirst shift 6am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, Pay $25-30/hr doePosition OverviewWe are seeking a dependable Spot Welder / Resistance Welder to join a manufacturing team. This position is responsible for joining metal components using spot welding and resistance welding equipment while following work instructions, drawings, and quality standards.The ideal candidate has previous manufacturing or welding experience, is comfortable working with small metal components, and has strong attention to detail. Candidates with general welding or fabrication experience who are willing to learn resistance welding may also be considered.ResponsibilitiesOperate spot welding and resistance welding machines to join metal parts and componentsPosition and align parts, fixtures, and electrodes prior to weldingSet up equipment according to work instructions and production requirementsPerform repetitive welds while maintaining consistent qualityInspect completed welds for proper placement, strength, appearance, and overall qualityRead and follow basic blueprints, drawings, work orders, and specificationsUse measuring tools and gauges as requiredIdentify defective welds or parts and report quality concernsMake basic machine adjustments within established proceduresMaintain accurate production and quality recordsFollow established manufacturing and safety proceduresKeep equipment and work areas clean and organizedMeet daily production and quality expectationsWork closely with Quality, Production, and other manufacturing team membersQualificationsPrevious spot welding, resistance welding, production welding, or metal fabrication experience preferredExperience operating resistance welding equipment is highly desirableBasic understanding of welding processes and metal componentsAbility to read basic blueprints or manufacturing drawings preferredStrong hand-eye coordination and attention to detailAbility to inspect work and recognize welding or quality defectsComfortable performing repetitive production workAbility to use basic hand tools and measuring equipmentAbility to follow written and verbal work instructionsDependable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED preferredPrevious manufacturing experience preferredWelding training, certification, or related technical education is a plus but not requiredPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periodsAbility to bend, reach, and perform repetitive hand and arm movementsAbility to safely lift and move materials as requiredAbility to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and other protective equipmentIdeal Candidate: Someone with hands-on manufacturing experience who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable producing consistent, quality welds in a production environment.You should be proficient in:GD&TTroubleshooting SkillsSolderingTape Measure ReadingWelding Setups for ProductionBlueprint ReadingMachines & technologies you'll use:Resistance #J-18808-Ljbffr York Employment Services, Inc.
