Community Development Coordinator Job Location: 150 N 18th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85007 Salary: $68,000. Grade: 22. Hybrid. Job Summary This position reports to the Environmental Program Manager for the Lead‑Safe Homes Program. The coordinator leads outreach and community engagement efforts to increase awareness of lead hazards, identify eligible households, and support referrals for housing assessment and remediation services. The role works closely with the Program Manager and community partners to expand program reach, develop educational materials, support community presentations, and document activities for program monitoring and reporting. Job Duties Plan and implement outreach activities and events to increase awareness and participation. Establish and maintain relationships with community partners to support coordination and referrals. Develop and distribute educational materials and outreach resources. Assist in identifying priority populations and support referrals to program services. Document outreach activities and maintain records to support reporting and program monitoring. Other duties as assigned related to the position. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of Community outreach and public health engagement practices Environmental health concepts and prevention strategies Community resources and service networks Basic program planning, implementation, and evaluation Effective communication approaches for diverse populations Skill in Conducting outreach, presentations, and community engagement activities Building and maintaining partnerships with community stakeholders Written and verbal communication Coordinating events and outreach efforts Documenting activities and maintaining organized records Using standard office and data management tools Ability to Communicate effectively with diverse audiences Establish and maintain positive working relationships Manage multiple tasks and priorities Work independently and collaboratively Maintain professionalism and handle sensitive information appropriately Support an inclusive and respectful work environment Selective Preferences Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, Community Health, Social Work, Communications, or a related field and at least 2 years of professional experience in public health outreach, community engagement, health education, or a related area. Experience working with community‑based organizations, schools, healthcare providers, housing programs, or other community service networks. Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) or similar certification preferred. Pre‑Employment Requirements Must have a driver’s license and ability to travel.
