Job Summary As the Catering Executive Chef , you will lead high‑end culinary operations within a corporate Executive Briefing Center, delivering exceptional, fine‑dining experiences for VIP clients. You will oversee kitchen operations while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment and prepare or direct the preparation of meals in accordance with company standards and client expectations. This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, supporting a strong work‑life balance while operating in a professional, corporate setting. Key Responsibilities Plan and execute VIP catering menus and private chef experiences focused on Asian cuisine and Asian‑inspired dishes. Follow standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation standards while maintaining elevated fine dining quality. Complete and utilize daily production worksheets and waste logs; taste and verify all finished dishes for quality and consistency. Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, operation of equipment, and food safety and sanitation based on company and regulatory standards. Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas; ensure kitchen staff follows and completes schedules as assigned. Maintain inventory of food and non‑food supplies to stay within established guidelines while ensuring necessary products are available when needed. Make all decisions regarding utilization of leftover food products in accordance with company guidelines. Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures as evidenced through local health department and third‑party audits. Follow facility, department, and company safety policies and procedures, including occurrence reporting. Participate and attend departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programs as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree (A.S.) or equivalent culinary experience. 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or training. Extensive high‑end catering, VIP experience. Strong expertise in Asian cuisine. High volume, complex foodservice operations experience – highly desirable. Institutional and batch cooking experience. Hands‑on chef with the ability to lead while actively cooking. Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and general computer systems. Must be willing to participate in client satisfaction programs or activities. ServSafe certified – highly desirable. Proficiency in an Asian language is a plus to support communication with a diverse, global client base.
