Reporting directly to Children's new Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Patrick Frias, the next COO will carry on Children's rich history while continuing to position the organization for future growth and service to its many diverse communities.The COO will serve as a key operational partner to the CEO and executive team, partnering closely to drive accountability, strengthen organizational alignment, and ensure consistent execution across the enterprise. A key priority for the COO will be leading the implementation of Children's strategic plan, translating organizational goals into measurable operational outcomes. This leader will strengthen operating discipline, improve integration across hospitals, leverage technology and innovation, and create performance systems that support sustainable improvement and long-term success.The COO will also play a role in identifying and advancing opportunities for growth. This includes expanding clinical services, increasing capacity, enhancing access, and developing innovative care models that meet the growing needs of the communities Children's serves. Success in the role will require an executive with strategic leadership and operational expertise who can build alignment across diverse teams, foster strong partnerships, and execute complex initiatives in a dynamic healthcare environment. The COO will bring a leadership style aligned with Children's mission while embracing and building upon the organization's strong people-centric culture. This leader must be passionate about and committed to providing the highest-quality care for children and their families. The successful candidate will have substantive leadership experience in a complex, high-performing, multifaceted healthcare environment. It is critical for this executive to serve as a connector across the enterprise, building alignment among leaders, teams, and stakeholders within a complex health system.
