Head of Distribution/Wholesale Brokerage Operations180k-250k/Bonus/Incentives, New Jersey/Downstate NY/CTThis Position is a confidential search with succession and transition plan to become President of Wholesale Brokerage Operations Specialty wholesale brokerage with backing of global parent company(providing HR, operations, accounting support, etc.) is seeking a Head of Distribution/Wholesale Operations with direct plans to transition to President of the wholesale firm. Continue to grow and expand operations and revenue, in conjunction with senior leadership of parent company and internal MGAs., creating new retail channels for growth. This role ensures the strategic placement of insurance products, fosters carrier relationships, drives revenue growth, and maintains compliance with regulatory standards. The HoD will lead a team of brokers and placement specialists, ensuring best-in-class service delivery to clients and partners. Main areas of concentration include strategic leadership, market relationships, operational oversight, team leadership, client engagement and production. Existing brokerage is a 17M GPW Commercial Specialty and General business. Qualifications include: Minimum of 10 years of experience in insurance broking, preferably in the wholesale or specialty markets. Proven leadership experience in a senior broking, wholesale production, or insurance company distribution role. Deep understanding of insurance markets, products, and regulatory environments. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Strategic thinker with a track record of driving growth and operational excellence. Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or industry certifications (e.g., CPCU, ARM) preferred. E&S market experience and existing carrier & retail broker relationships.
