Program Coordinator

Summary of Position The Program Coordinator supports the implementation, coordination, communication, and evaluation of NONPF programs, projects, committees, and member-facing initiatives. This role provides administrative and project coordination support across webinars, workshops, special interest groups, awards, continuing education activities, digital programs, and related communications. The position requires strong organization, attention to detail, comfort working with volunteers and staff, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced association environment. Key Responsibilities Coordinate logistics, communications, materials, registration support, and follow-up for webinars, workshops, on-demand programs, and other educational activities. Support project timelines, task tracking, deliverables, and routine status updates to help ensure programs stay on schedule. Provide administrative and technical support for special projects as assigned by the Program Director and CEO. Assist with planning and coordination for the annual conference, fall conference, and other NONPF meetings as needed. Assist with email blasts, newsletters, announcements, and member-facing communications. Support basic Canva and graphic design needs, including program graphics, promotional materials, and digital assets. Provide administrative and coordination support to NONPF special interest groups, committees and workgroups. Help facilitate group activities and maintain organized records of project work. Prepare and support continuing education applications, documentation, tracking, and related reporting requirements. Respond to general member questions or route inquiries to the appropriate staff member. Assist with invoices, receipts, billing documentation, and basic fiscal tracking as needed. Additional duties as assigned. Working Conditions Normal office or remote work environment with frequent computer and virtual meeting use. High volume of member, volunteer, and staff contact by email, phone, and virtual meeting platforms. Travel is required to support NONPF meetings, conferences, or other events. Work may be fast-paced during periods of high volume, program launches, application cycles, or tight deadlines. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Other Office is located in downtown DC at Metro Center. This is a hybrid position with telework permitted. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required. 0–3 years of experience in administrative support, event coordination, project coordination, association/nonprofit support, or a related setting; relevant volunteer experience may be considered. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and details. Clear written and verbal communication skills and comfort communicating with staff, members, volunteers, and external contacts. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint. Ability to learn and use common association, event, email marketing, webinar, and project management technology platforms. Attention to detail, follow-through, professionalism, and good judgment when handling member and volunteer communications. Experience with Canva or similar graphic design tools preferred. Experience in a nonprofit, association, education, or healthcare-related environment preferred.
