If you’re hungry to build a varied and meaningful career in a community of brilliant and diverse minds to make a real difference, there’s only one choice.Mechanical Engineer Co-Op As a Mechanical Engineer Co‑op, you will work with a team to provide mechanical engineering designs for large‑scale capital projects and support multiple sites and projects concurrently; you will collaborate closely with other Mechanical Engineers and project team members at a local level to help deliver safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations; this is a hands‑on learning opportunity where you apply your academic knowledge to real‑world engineering challenges in a dynamic, diverse environment.YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe primary responsibilities of this role are to:Prepare project mechanical specifications and summaries for design packages;Review equipment vendor drawings and support construction activities at manufacturing sites;Support engineers in the development of mechanical equipment specifications and construction drawings;Contribute to the development of equipment checkout plans and support project checkout and startup at manufacturing sites;Apply basic project management skills to help coordinate tasks, timelines, and deliverables;Collaborate with other Mechanical Engineers and project team members to solve problems and implement practical engineering solutions.WHO YOU AREBayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:Required Qualifications:Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering;Must have completed at least 1 year of a Bachelor's program.Preferred Qualifications:Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale;General mechanical aptitude and interest in applying engineering principles to real‑world projects;Strong written and oral communication skills;Good problem‑solving skills and a high degree of personal initiative;Excellent organization and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks;Ability to work well in a team environment and within a diverse culture;No travel limitations.Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $26.00 to $31.50. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..
