Description Advance Testing Company, Inc. is seeking a full-time Construction Materials Technician to work on projects in the Northeastern United States. Advance Testing, a New York-based construction materials testing and inspection firm, offers opportunities for individuals to perform testing and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and asphalt. Projects include roads, bridges, airports, tunnels, commercial and industrial buildings, schools, government, military sites, and material fabrication facilities. Successful candidates will be trained and certified in sampling and testing of soil, concrete, and asphalt materials through recognized programs. Once certified, employees are considered full-fledged Construction Materials Technicians. Responsibilities Observe work in progress to ensure conformance to drawings and specifications. Perform standard testing of materials. Prepare samples for laboratory testing. Examine workmanship for conformity to specifications. Maintain logs and complete reports daily. Prepare sketches correlating with testing and inspection sites. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. AS Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or similar, or coursework toward a BS Degree in Civil Engineering. Experience in construction materials testing preferred but training will be provided. Strong focus on safety and adherence to protocols. Detail-oriented and able to work independently. Ability to travel and perform site visits. Valid, clean driver’s license. Salary and Benefits Competitive salary of $18-22/hour and benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, holidays, training, and more.
