Start Date: ASAP
Helper Rate: $15 per hour
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable helper to support a male client, at their 60's recovering from a stroke . He is currently residing in a nursing facility and is expected to remain there for another 3–4 months .
The family is planning ahead and looking for a caregiver who can provide support once he transitions back home.
Care Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Provide support with daily routines
- Assist with personal care and mobility as needed
- Provide companionship and encouragement
- Help Edward maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
- Support his transition from the nursing facility back to home
- 4 days per week
- A few hours per visit
- Exact days and hours to be determined
Ideal Candidate
- Experience caring for clients recovering from a stroke preferred
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and personal care
- Patient, compassionate, and dependable
- Able to provide respectful support while encouraging independence
- Strong communication skills
This role is best suited for a helper who understands the challenges of stroke recovery and transitioning home after an extended stay in a nursing facility , and who can provide patient, encouraging, and dependable support with daily activities.
