Job Opportunity: Kitchen Manager at a Casual Fine Dining Restaurant
We are a casual fine dining restaurant with an award-winning team, searching for a dedicated Kitchen Manager to join our family and lead our talented kitchen crew. This role has the potential to evolve into a Corporate Kitchen Manager position, eventually overseeing all our locations. Our restaurant generates approximately $4 million in annual sales, and we take pride in offering a scratch kitchen with top-quality ingredients, crafted cocktails, and exceptional service. We’re looking for a hands-on leader who can build strong relationships with the kitchen team and work harmoniously with the General Manager and FOH staff.
Location: Near Costa Mesa, CA - Newport, CA

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead kitchen operations and maintain high standards of food quality
- Build and develop a high-performance kitchen team, including hiring and training
- Collaborate with the GM and FOH team to ensure seamless operations
- Manage inventory, control food costs, and maintain product rotation
- Oversee equipment, facility, and grounds maintenance
- Enforce compliance with OSHA, health and safety regulations, and all employment laws
- Manage profit and loss through effective cost control, inventory management, and labor optimization
- Conduct staff evaluations, manage schedules, and provide ongoing coaching and training
- Ensure food safety regulations are upheld
- Drive a positive, guest-focused dining experience
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in controlling food costs and managing kitchen operations
- Strong training, development, and team-building skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen management and sanitation practices
- Proficient in inventory management and scheduling
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Experience with Toast POS as well as touch screen in kitchen
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about delivering exceptional service
Salary: $70,000 to $80,000
