About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Lead Credit Officer to join their Risk Management and Compliance division. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of the company's efforts to maintain a strong and resilient business, with a focus on anticipating and addressing new and emerging risks. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the company grows its business in a responsible manner, and the ideal candidate will be adept at using expert judgment to solve real-world challenges that impact the company, its customers, and the community. As a Vice President, Lead Credit Officer, the primary responsibilities will include performing client due diligence, financial analysis, and summarizing findings in credit approval memos. The role also involves reviewing and approving trading activities, providing credit expertise in structuring transactions, and setting credit exposure appetites. The candidate will be expected to have a minimum of 6 years' of credit/market risk experience, a strong credit background, and analytical skills, as well as a solid understanding of financial products and market dynamics. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is essential, and a strong interest in client interaction with outstanding communication skills is required. The role demands the ability to work well under pressure and lead efficiency projects, as well as to assess creditworthiness and maintain updated credit research on a portfolio of clients.
