Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week Available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit within a Level I Trauma, acute care teaching facility operating at high capacity
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond to changes in patient condition
• Perform IV starts and other required clinical skills within scope of practice
• Float to other MS/Tele, PCU, and lower acuity settings as needed to meet facility staffing needs, including the Emergency Department at a 1:5 ratio
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner electronic health records
• Fulfill weekend requirements of 2 shifts per 4-week schedule and participate in required holiday coverage bundles

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Mexico (may be pending at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications (RQI certifications not accepted)
• Proficiency with IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility (non-local requirement); non-local driver's license required on file
• Must be available to work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles: Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve & New Year's Day

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience, particularly for candidates interested in Emergency Department float assignments
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system
• Experience in PCU or higher acuity settings within scope of practice
