Assistant Controller

Century Group has partnered with a Client who is seeking an Assistant Controller. This role is fully on-site and is a direct hire position. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary of $90,000 to $110,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and oversee the annual financial budgeting process to ensure accuracy and alignment with company objectives.
• Prepare and update a rolling three-month financial forecast, identifying trends and potential financial risks.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with accounting standards.
• Communicate financial insights and analysis to business counterparts to support strategic decision-making.
• Conduct rate analysis and financial reviews to evaluate cost efficiency and profitability.

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance within a corporate or public accounting setting.
• Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling.
• Possess experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and general ledger reconciliation.
• Preferably have prior experience with a Big 4 public accounting firm.

• Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data.
• Communicate financial information effectively through excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and reconciliation.
• Have experience with ERP systems and financial reporting software, which is considered a plus.
