Workers Compensation Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its workers' compensation team in Birmingham, AL. This role offers the opportunity to work within a high-performing practice, focusing on delivering timely and high-quality legal services while receiving direct mentorship. Duties Manage a caseload of workers' compensation matters from inception through resolution. Handle discovery, depositions, mediations, and related litigation tasks. Review medical records and assist with fact development and case strategy. Draft pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence. Maintain accurate and timely billing to manage workload and case flow efficiently. Collaborate with the team to ensure consistent, high-quality work product. Requirements 2-3 years of litigation experience required; workers' compensation experience preferred. Experience in personal injury or matters involving medical records and damages analysis is valued. Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn. Ability to work independently while being open to feedback and supervision. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree required. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Alabama. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in legal research and case management software.
