Your key responsibilities as a Director with EY-Parthenons Corporate Finance Business Valuation practice include:

• Working on commercial issues, working with management on parts of the acquisition process and regularly undertake valuations for strategic priorities, with a focus on Intangible Assets
• Advising businesses on valuations issues with regards to acquisition or divestitures and provide fairness opinions on transactions and restructurings
• Understanding how the value of acquired intangible and financial assets will impact accounting requirements
• Undertaking valuations for fiscal purposes in the US market and advise clients on all aspects of US tax valuation issues
• Specializing in the valuation of Intangible assets such as trademarks, brand names, core deposit intangibles, customer relationships, banking and other licenses, patents, technology and know-how

To qualify for the role, you must have a bachelors degree in finance, economics, accounting or business and at least 5 years of related business valuation work experience; or a graduate degree and at least 4 years of related work experience. Previous Business Valuation experience. Financial modelling skills including experience building models from scratch. Demonstrated record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects. You must either reside in or be in a commutable distance to your office location for this position. The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. Ideally, you will have previous valuation experience in professional services/Big 4 Firm. Financial modelling experience. Achievement of or significant progress towards a CFA. ASA/AM designations are a plus with the expectation of one completed designation within a given timeframe. Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $121,600 to $222,800. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $145,900 to $253,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
